Nur Jannaton Binti Abdul Jalil is a Malaysian Paralympic athlete and a silver medalist at the Asian Championships.
The opening of the Jogja-Netpac Asian Film Festival (JAFF) was held on November 30th at Cinema XXI Yogyakarta with great enthusiasm from the audience amidst the rain.
Garin Nugroho, founder of JAFF, and Budi Irawanto, president of JAFF, support the program of the Yayasan Maria Monique Lastwish-17, "The Beautiful Journeys of Paralympic and Film Festival."
"This program is the participation of Paralympic athletes in world film festivals," said Natalia Tjahja, founder of Yayasan Maria Monique Last Wish.
"The first person who support this charity project are Magjen Ossoth Bavilai ( The President of Asean Para Sports Federation) and Colonel Wandee Tosuwan( Secretary General of Asean Para Sports Federation)" said Natalia
This is the second time, previously the Jakarta Film Week also supported this program and the Yayasan Maria Monique Last Wish (YMM Last Wish) collaborated with the Singapore Disability Sports Council. They brought Gemma Rose Woo, a top Paralympic equestrian athlete in Asia.
"The presence of Nur Jannaton Binti Abdul Jalil, a disabled archery athlete from Malaysia, at a film festival event like JAFF is a form of encouragement and support for the film festival to be more inclusive and accessible to all," said Budi Irawanto, President of JAFF.
Yayasan Maria Monique Last Wish collaborated with the Malaysian National Sports Council (MSNM). And MSNM sent two people: Nur Jannaton Binti Abdul Jalil and Siti Nor Hatika Binti Ibrahim to attend JAFF.
The YMM Last Wish family, Marriott Yogyakarta, gave their hearts and supported this event as the hotel partner.
"I also shared a story with Kim Dong-Ho (Founder of the Busan International Film Festival) at the JAFF event about a surprising film experience when I directed the film Movie Boccia and I gave Jeong Ho Eon (world Boccia champion from Korea) the opportunity to be an assistant director and we shot in Seoul in 2019," said Natalia.

In the memory of Mrs Endang Pujiastuti, the late mother of Natalia Tjahja, YMM Last Wish gave surprise wishes and wheelchairs together with the family of Mr Harnoto Darsono, Bocorocco Shoes and Retachar (talented teenagers with charity) Jaythaneal S Sutrisno, Jadrianna A Sutrisno, Daniella R Citra, Warren G Sebastian, Nathania Angela, Bradley Amadeus, Citta Ramli, Darren Zang.
