[Sunday Times=Chris Lee Reporter]The 2022 Asian Para Games, which was held on 22-28 October, 2023 in Hangzhou, China, opened with a ceremony featuring dancing flags from 45 Asian countries.
Accompanied by the Asian Para Games anthem created by an Indonesian song composer, Natalia Tjahja.
“I am delighted that we have a new anthem. The Asian Para Games is the largest para sport event in the world after the Paralympic Games and it is fitting therefore that it has its own anthem. It’s always emotional when the Asian Paralympic flag is raised and our new anthem is played” the President of the Asian Paralympics Committee(APC) Majid Rashed said in a statement on APC’s official website.
APC anthem now will be used at future Asian Para Games and Asian Youth Para all over Asian countries.
Natalia Tjahja is the founder of Maria Monique Lastwish Foundation, non profit foundation that give happiness to diffable & sick children all over the world since 2007.
"I am doing it for God to create a legacy for 45 Asian countries and APC, I have given the song royalties completely to APC. I am sincere and I am giving this International classed song without receiving royalties." Natalia said.
Natalia collaborated with Indonesian music maestro Dwiki Dharmawan to create two anthem songs, namely for the Asian Paralympic Committee and the ASEAN Para Sports Federation(APSF).
"For a long time, I didn't have the enthusiasm to create a new song, but that enthusiasm came back after I heard Ji Chang wook's voice singing entitled 'Sarangi Jinagamyon," Natalia explained.
"Ji Chang-wook’s singing voice was so beautiful, took me back to 2011, when I first started writing 25 songs. I had the enthusiasm to write songs again, so the Asian Paralympic Committee’s anthem was born” Natalia said.
Natalia held the ‘Charity Song for APC Anthem’ activity which was supported by Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo; Indonesian Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno; President of the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee Senny Marbun; Secretary General of the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee Rima Ferdianto.
Currently Natalia and Siti Marifah(the eldest daughter of Vice President Republic Indonesia) are preparing the 19th charity project of Maria Monique Last Wish Foundation entitle “One diffable & One Beautiful Heart Idol” which is scheduled to start from Indonesia and South Korea.
”I thank God for all this miracle journeys.” Natalia said.
